I'd like to introduce you to my dear friend & the face behind, Northway Design Co: Jackson Northway. Jackson grew up in a small town in Montana with a love for the beauty that surrounds him. He was only four years old when his carpenter Grandpa taught him how to use a hammer & nail for the first time. Inspired by his home town, Ennis, he created a collection of art pieces made of wood. Every piece is named after a special place in Montana & made with only reclaimed materials found in Montana.
Location: Missoula, MT
What inspires you? My main source of inspiration comes directly from my grandpa. I always feel his presence with me as I work my way through a piece. As far as inspiration for individual pieces, it mainly comes organically. Rarely do I know what any given piece will look like when it's done. That is my favorite part about building.
Favorite place in Montana? My favorite part of MT is where I grew up, Ennis. For the most part, it's just another typical small town. It's beauty is what I love most about it. As they say, there's no place like home.
Describe your perfect weekend? My perfect weekend would consist of my fiancé, new puppy and I going someplace beautiful and uncharted. We love camping and find ourselves most at peace in the woods.
Three favorite foods? Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Picatta & ice cream
You can find his pieces in our made section.
